The ProPilot was designed with aviation in mind, but the Altimeter takes things several steps further. It remains the world’s only wristwatch powered by an automatic mechanical movement with a fully mechanical altimeter built into the case, capable of measuring altitude up to 6,000 meters. That’s not a complication you see every day, and it’s very much an homage to Oris doing things their own way. The 47mm multi-piece carbon fiber case keeps the watch surprisingly light despite its size, paired with titanium and grey PVD-plated components for strength and durability. On the wrist, it weighs just 98 grams and wears more comfortably than the dimensions suggest, especially on the fabric strap. Inside is the self-winding caliber 793-1 with a 56-hour power reserve.
