Released in 2012 to celebrate the opening of IWC’s New York flagship boutique, this run was capped at just 250 pieces and offered exclusively in the U.S. It takes the classic Big Pilot platform (oversized case, clean Arabic numerals, power reserve at 3) and gives it subtle but meaningful Ali-specific details. The red accents are the first thing you notice. The hands, the arrow at 12, and the dial details pay homage to Ali’s red boxing gloves without turning the watch into merchandise. Flip it over and the caseback engraving commemorates what would have been Ali’s 70th birthday. Inside, there’s IWC’s in-house automatic movement with a seven-day power reserve, fitting for a watch inspired by endurance.
