Pre-owned Tudor Black Bay ref 79230 (2019) is a special order of approximately 80 watches, the Tudor Black Bay Ed Sheeran Divide Tour Limited Edition was created by the Grammy Award-winning musician as a special thank you gift that he presented to the individuals who worked with him on his ‘Divide’ world concert tour. As the watches were part of a privately ordered set commissioned by Ed Sheeran himself, the Divide Tour Black Bay was never offered to the public, and it represents one of the most unique and visually striking private-label Tudor watches that has ever been created.

Just like the standard Tudor Black Bay dive watch, the Divide Tour edition features a 41mm stainless steel case fitted with a black bezel and powered by the in-house, COSC-certified cal. MT5602 movement. However, in place of the usual depth rating and chronometer-certification text on its dial is a bright blue division symbol with the word “Divide” printed inside it that appears in the concert tour’s signature stylized font. Additionally, the case-back includes a special commemorative engraving from Ed Sheeran to his team, which features the stylized “Divide Tour” text in the center and the words, “Thank you for all your hard work on this tour, love, Ed X” surrounding the perimeter.

The Divide Tour itself lasted nearly two and a half years and consisted of 260 shows, starting on March 16th, 2017 and ending on August 26th, 2019. Given that only approximately 80 examples were ever produced and the vast majority belong to people who worked with Ed Sheeran on his tour and consider them to be cherished personal items, rarely do you ever see these special Divide Tour Back Bay watches come up for sale. However, they are easily some of the most rare and unusual modern Tudor watches in existence, and they are destined to become highly-prized future collector’s items.
