Tudor Submariner ‘Snowflake’ (94110)

Vintage 39mm Tudor Submariner ‘Snowflake’ (94110)
While the prior references 7016 and 7021 (date and non-date) introduced the first snowflake hands, this 94110 reference popularized the Tudor ‘Snowflake’ Submariner mainly due to an updated ETA movement, which included a hacking, quickset date, as well as a better quality dial that was more robust than the previous version. These watches were available in either a blue or a black dial, with the blue dial version the more popular. It’s easy to see why, especially with this unusual and highly desired pumpkin colored lume, set against the blue dial.
Although this watch is not rare, finding one that is in nice, original and unmolested condition is not often seen. In addition to a suburb dial and lume combination, the case has sharp chamfers and appears unpolished, showing the scratches earned over the years, while maintaining the original lug shape. Most people familiar with vintage watches will recognize how rare is a case in this condition. The bezel is naturally faded to a so-called ghost color, with very little wear or marks. Note that the pip is missing, which is not uncommon in vintage Tudor or Rolex bezels. This watch comes with a recent service and a Watchworks warranty. It’s quite a nice watch and we think it will bring years of enjoyment to its new owner.
