Pre-owned Breitling Aerospace B70 Orbiter ref EB70101A1O1E1 (2021) was released earlier this year and has a truly fascinating story, complete with an artifact from its past built into the case. The watch celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first non-stop circumnavigation of the globe in a balloon, successfully completed by adventurers Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones on March 21st, 1999. The vivid orange dial matches the Breitling Orbiter 3 capsule, which was responsible for carrying the duo across 45,633 km in 19 days, 21 hours, and 47 minutes. The watch face is decorated with the mission logo, and an actual piece of the original balloon is tucked beneath the transparent case back. The entire watch is cased in Titanium, a material chosen by Breitling for its “superior strength-to-weight ratio.” This model is also distinguished by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B7, a SuperQuartz™ movement noted for its accuracy and functionality.
