Pre-owned Rolex Submariner ref 114060 (2020). When the Submariner debuted in 1953, it didn’t even have a date. It was a clean, symmetrical dive tool developed purely for underwater timing. That no-date layout is the foundation of the entire Submariner story. The 114060 carried that tradition forward when it replaced the long-running ref. 14060. Visually, the biggest change was the upgrade from an aluminum bezel insert to Rolex’s Cerachrom ceramic bezel. It was the first stainless steel no-date Submariner to feature ceramic, marking a major turning point for the series. The dial also shifted to a “maxi” layout with larger hour markers filled with bright blue-glowing Chromalight. At 40mm, it keeps the classic proportions, though with the broader lugs of the era, giving it a slightly more robust stance on the wrist. For many purists, this is the watch to own. No Cyclops. No date window. Just black, steel, and one of the most iconic dive watch designs on the market.
